A superb away performance from Nottingham Forest saw Aitor Karanka pick up his first win as manager with a 2-0 win against Wolves.
Goals at the end of the first half by Kieran Dowell and Ben Osborn were enough for Forest to seal the points in a performance built on a solid defensive display at Molineux.
Karanka made four changes to the Forest side beaten by Aston Villa last weekend, with Matt Mills, Armand Traore, David Vaughan and Zach Clough all being replaced by Joe Worrall, Danny Fox, Liam Bridcutt and Andreas Bouchalakis.
The first effort on goal arrived on nine minutes for the home side, with Diogo Jota playing a one-two with Leo Bonatini and then curling an effort wide of Jordan Smith's left-hand post from the corner of the penalty area.
The Reds were holding their own, as well as putting themselves about with hefty challenges from Worrall, Fox and Bridcutt all seeing them go into the referee's book.
On 32 minutes a teasing delivery from a free kick by Dowell almost found the opener, with his whipped cross evading everyone bar Wolves wing back Matt Doherty, as the ball hit him and deflected just past the near post.
Forest were finishing the half strongly and Osborn came close from another set piece on 39. As he successfully did against Bristol City last season, Osborn received a free kick to feet, flicked the ball up and volleyed at goal but his shot deflected wide of John Ruddy's goal.
But The Reds did gain the advantage from the resulting corner. Osborn's delivery was only half-cleared to the edge of the box for Dowell who hit a shot first time and found its way into the net via a deflection.
It got better for Karanka's side three minutes later as Osborn doubled the lead. Matty Cash did well to get to the byline on the right-hand side and he then cut the ball back for the arriving Osborn, who controlled 15 yards out and fired into the top corner with Ruddy helpless.
The home side looked to go on the attack straight after the break and came out at some pace, but it was Danny Fox who forced the first save of the half as Ruddy tipped his header over the bar.
The Reds were content to soak up the pressure and look to hit Wolves on the break. The home side probed but couldn't carve out any opportunities, with Smith untested in the Forest goal thanks to a superbly solid defence and Karanka's men saw out the game to seal a first win in six league games.
