Under 23s: Sheffield Wednesday 0-3 Forest

29 January 2018

Nottingham Forest Under 23s returned to action in style this afternoon as they won 3-0 at Sheffield Wednesday in the Professional Development League.

The Reds took the lead after only 20 minutes as Jordan Gabriel finished off a swift move before Toby Edser doubled the advantage only three minutes into the second half with a delightful curling free-kick from 25 yards.

Lewis Walters put the seal on a fine victory for Forest as he latched on to a superb cross from Virgil Gomis with four minutes to play and slotted the ball beyond home goalkeeper Dan Wallis.

The Under 23s are in action again on Friday night when they host Barnsley at Alfreton Town's Impact Arena (kick-off 7pm).
