Nottingham Forest defender Eric Lichaj is delighted to have committed his future to the club after signing a new contract.
The American full back has put pen to paper on a new deal at The City Ground until 2019 and said that the news rounds off a good week for him on and off the pitch.
He said: "I am delighted. It is my fifth season now so I am looking forward to a few more. I really like it here so it was an easy decision for me.
"It has been on the table for a bit and then there was the change of manager but it is over the line and it has been a pretty good week for me.
"My family is all settled here, my wife has a business, we've got a dog now and I like it here. I like the city, the fans and I am enjoying it and now it is a challenge for me to try and get this club in the Premier League."
Lichaj will be hoping to celebrate his new deal with three points on Saturday as he comes up against his former side Aston Villa.
"I spent a few years there and learned a lot while I was there," he added. "I will be looking forward to the game but hopefully we can beat them.
"It would be nice to carry on from where we left off against Arsenal. It has been a good week for me; I scored twice, got myself a dog and now signed an extension here so I am happy."
