Nottingham Forest Under 23s suffered a disappointing 5-0 defeat against Sheffield United in the Professional Development League on Friday night.
The Reds went behind inside the first minute when Jake Wright nodded past Liam Bossin and the forward added his second on 17 minutes.
Rhys Dorrington-Davies struck from close range to make it 3-0 before the game was put beyod all doubt when Wright scored his third and United's fourth on the half-hour mark.
Five minutes before half-time and it was 5-0 to the visitors as Wright added his fourth of the evening to round off a miserable first 45 minutes.
The Reds attempted to restore some pride in the second half, with Lewis Walters' effort rebounding off the post, but it was a comfortable victory for The Blades.
