Preview: Under 23s take on Leeds

9 February 2018

Nottingham Forest Under 23s make the trip to Thorp Arch Grange this afternoon to take on Leeds United in the Professional Development League (kick-off 1pm).

The young Reds are currently sat in third place in the league and they will be determined to bounce back after their unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end at the Impact Arena on Monday afternoon when they lost 2-1 to Birmingham City in the Premier League Cup.

Attentions now turn back to the league campaign before a tasty local derby against Derby County at The City Ground in the Premier League Cup on Monday night (kick-off 7pm).

Their opponents today currently sit in seventh position in the league, six points behind Forest after playing five more games, but they will be full of confidence after coming back from two goals down against Birmingham to draw 2-2 seven days ago.

The Reds will be without the services of forward Lewis Walters, after he was shown a red card in Monday's defeat, but Aaron Smith returns following his suspension.
