Preview: Hull (H)

9 February 2018

Apologies, this video is unvailable.

Nottingham Forest return to The City Ground on Saturday when Hull City are the visitors in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Reds put in a much-improved performance at Fulham last weekend after the disappointing display against Preston and Aitor Karanka's men will be keen to build on that tomorrow.

Plenty of new faces were welcomed into the squad for the match at Craven Cottage and they are set for their first appearances on Trentside against a Hull side struggling in the league this season.

The Tigers may have knocked The Reds out of the Emirates FA Cup two weeks ago, but Nigel Adkins' side face a battle to preserve their Championship status as they come into this weekend's fixtures in the bottom three.

See below for the pre-match views from the Forest camp.

Team news

Daryl Murphy is available again for The Reds having missed out recently through injury, but Liam Bridcutt remains sidelined.

The midfielder's return from suspension was delayed last week after he picked up a knock in training, and he is set to miss out again tomorrow.

From the opposition

Hull City boss Nigel Adkins is expecting to face a different Nottingham Forest side to the one they faced in the FA Cup two weeks ago following the additions in the January transfer window.

Adkins was pleased with his side's win at the KCOM, but is prepared for a tough afternoon at The City Ground.

Speaking to Hull's official website, he said: "I don't think our recent result against them will have much impact on what happens this weekend because they have signed six or seven new players since then.

"We played them at our place and won, and it was a good and deserved victory for us. We go and play them away from home now and I would imagine that it will be a totally different game. It's one that we're looking forward to and it should be a good game.

"I've managed against Aitor Karanka before and they have brought some experienced players in. They may need some time to bed in but it's going to be another tough game. They'll be good in possession and we have to break them down."

One to watch - Jarrod Bowen

After a blistering start to the season, the goals dried up a bit for Jarrod Bowen until he scored the opening goal in the Emirates FA Cup clash between the two sides a fortnight ago.

The 21-year-old has had a fine first full season with The Tigers, scoring 13 goals to date, and he has been the main attacking threat for Nigel Adkins' side.

Bowen struck in last weekend's defeat against Preston North End and will be need to kept quiet at The City Ground tomorrow.
