Nottingham Forest are delighted to welcome Luke Dowling to the club as he takes on the role of Sporting Director.
Dowling joins the club having previously been Sporting Director at Watford where he oversaw their promotion to the Premier League and subsequently establish themselves in the top flight.
He was instrumental in bringing players such as Odion Ighalo, Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure to Vicarage Road, players who developed into key figures for The Hornets.
Dowling featured in the youth ranks at Tottenham Hotspur as a player and a spell at Reading followed before his career was curtailed by injury.
He took the step into coaching and then scouting, taking on a role at AFC Wimbledon in which he helped attract players to the club to guide them into the Football League.
He has since held positions at Crystal Palace, Portsmouth and Leeds United before taking post at Watford in 2014, making him one of the youngest Sporting Directors in the Premier League.
