Ben Watson believes the added experience Nottingham Forest now have in the squad can help them to start putting some results together.
The midfielder is one of 10 new additions to the squad and he feels the added experience The Reds now have can stand them in good stead moving forward.
He said: “I knew a few of the boys before I came and with 10 new signings, it won’t automatically happen overnight. It is a building process, it takes time to gel and to get to know each other, but we don’t have time to do that. We need results and hopefully it can start quickly.
“We have some talented young boys in the changing room who needed that bit of experience around them. We have that now and we have got to go out there, put in performances and get results.
“We have to try and take the pressure of some of the younger players. They have had that burden all season and winning games for Forest. They have taken some criticism when things get tough but as a senior group that we have at the club, we need to take the pressure off them and let the younger players get back to doing what they do best.”
Watson is hoping to make his Forest debut at Burton Albion tomorrow but is expecting a tough match against a Burton side battling the drop.
“It is a huge game,” he added. “Let’s not beat about the bush; we are seven points clear of relegation and Burton are bottom of the league. It is not going to be easy, it is a tough place to go and we have got to make sure we go there and get a result.
“They are not going to give us anything, they need the result just as much as us. We have got to go there, compete and be disciplined and we have some talented boys in the dressing room who can go out there and get us the result.”
