Nottingham Forest midfielder Matty Cash was left feeling deflated after The Reds' 3-3 draw at Norwich City on Boxing Day.
Cash had scored a brace to help Aitor Karanka's men into a 3-0 lead at Carrow Road but the home side hit back to take a point and leave Forest, and Cash, frustrated.
Speaking after the game he said: "We're gutted. We should have won the game. Norwich were pushing forward for goals but being 3-0 up anywhere in this league, you should go on to win the game. I'm still struggling to put it into words to be honest.
"It was end-to-end stuff but we've got to see the game out. Personally, it was nice to get two goals but today was all about getting the result and unfortunately we couldn't do that.
"We know that Norwich are a really good side but we've come here and scored three goals and should have won the game so we can go into Saturday's game knowing that we can match anybody in this division.
"It is a missed opportunity but the league is crazy. We're seeing late goals go in up and down the country and we've got to pick our heads up now. The only thing we can do now is focus on the positive things we did and take that into Saturday's game."
