First-team players Danny Fox and Joao Carvalho visited the Framework hostel on London Road yesterday to help serve food to the residents.
The pair dished up some warm food and hot drinks for people using the facility, in order to raise awareness about homelessness and the good work the club's charity partner Framework carries out within the local community.
Former Red and current Director John Metgod also accompanied the two players as they donned aprons and rolled their selves up.
The visit was in aid of the club's December campaign 'Let's tackle homelessness' in which the club alongside nominated charity partner Framework and The Nottingham Post aim to raise vital funds for the charity.
To join the 'Let's tackle homelessness' campaign with Nottingham Forest, Framework and the Nottingham Post look out for ways to donate when The Reds take on QPR on Saturday 22nd December at The City Ground.
