Nottingham Forest defender Sam Byram is looking forward to testing himself against Premier League opposition when Newcastle are the visitors on Wednesday night.
The Reds face The Magpies in the second round of the Carabao Cup, having overcome Bury in a penalty shoot-out in the first round, and Byram is looking forward to the challenge.
He said: "We made it tough for ourselves against Bury but we got through to the next round and we have another chance to prove how we can play and we are all looking forward to it.
"Everyone will be eager to play, they are a Premier League team and I am sure everyone will be fighting for a place. Whoever the manager picks, we will all be behind them and hoping to go through.
"Obviously it will be a tough game. They may make changes or they may stick with the same players from the weekend, but whoever they put out we know they will have quality. But as always, the focus has to be on what we can do.
"We know we have quality throughout the squad and when we play to the level we know we can, we can beat anybody so we will be going out there to get the victory and progress in the competition."
Byram was speaking exclusively to Forest Review and you can read the full interview in Wednesday night's matchday programme.
