Full back Sam Byram is delighted to have joined Nottingham Forest and he can’t wait to get started at The City Ground.
The defender made the switch on a season-long loan deal from West Ham United and is keen to get back into the action with The Reds.
He said: "It feels really good. It has been rumoured for a while now but I am glad to be here and I can't wait to get started.
"The manager played a big part in me coming here and you can see the players he has brought in. There is a real push for promotion and I just want to come here, do my best and help the team.
"I had a bit of bad luck with injuries last year but now I am ready to go and I can't wait to get back out on the pitch."
The 24-year-old is no stranger to the Championship, having made 130 appearances for Leeds United, and he knows how difficult the challenge is that awaits.
"There are lots of games, I have been used to it with Leeds," he said. "It is tough, there is no guaranteed wins or easy teams, so I am looking forward to getting back into it.
"I watched the match the other night and I thought the team played really well. Even on the TV you could hear the support and I have been speaking to the chairman about the amount of tickets that have been sold.
"There is a real buzz about the place and I can't wait to play in the stadium. I have wanted to get it sorted for a while now and to get my head down and help the team."
