A 4-2 win against Birmingham City brought Nottingham Forest Under 18s' season to a close at the Nigel Doughty Academy on Friday.
Having already been ruled out of the running for a play-off place, they raced into a 3-0 lead just after the half-hour mark thanks to goals by Victor Sodeinde, Brennan Johnson and Arvin Appiah.
Blues hit back though, with George Baker reducing the arrears just before the break and Josh Andrews converting from the penalty spot on the hour.
But a Danny Preston goal in injury time sealed the win as Jake Wigley's side finished the campaign on a high to end up in fourth place in the table.
