Season card representatives to join the Advisory Board

18 September 2017

As previously mentioned, Nottingham Forest are giving 2017-18 season card holders the opportunity to elect representatives to join the newly-formed Advisory Board.

Since the change in ownership, the club has already had fruitful discussions and collaborations with representatives from the Official Supporters' Group, the Official Supporters' Trust, and Forza Garibaldi along with other individual supporters. The club would now like to add season card representatives to this group.

As stated in his open letter on 28 July, Chairman Nicholas Randall Q.C explained the purpose of the Advisory Board as follows:

"We want to establish an Advisory Board which provides a formal structure through which the club is linked with its' supporters and its' community. This is not to be confused with a Parliament. There will be no threshold vote for an idea to be considered.

"The role of the Advisory Board is not to supress ideas but, where possible, to develop and improve on them through collective dialogue. It will then be for the club to consider the idea and give reasons if it does not proceed with it."

The club are seeking elected season card representatives on a stand-by-stand basis. If you are a season card holder and you wish to stand for election please explain why you think fellow season card holders should vote for you and what proposals you would like to bring forward.

Once all applications have been collected, season card holders will then have the opportunity to elect the candidate they wish to represent their stand through a ballot of fellow season card holders in that stand.

If a substantial number of candidates put themselves forward it may be necessary to require a threshold to be introduced based on a minimum number of nominations for an individual to be a candidate. Similarly if numbers putting themselves forward are small the club reserves the right to co-opt those candidates directly to the Advisory Board.

The application process will commence on Monday 25 September and will be open for eight weeks. Further details on how to apply will be provided once the application process begins.
