Mark Warburton says Nottingham Forest have to move on quickly as they prepare to take on Fulham at The City Ground tomorrow night.
Forest lost to Aston Villa on Saturday and Warburton knows that his side need to be on top of their game for The Cottagers' visit.
He said: "We have an important week ahead of us and we face two formidable challenges. It is important for us to try and dominate the football and get the results we are looking for.
"Fulham are a good footballing team, they like to move the ball, are dangerous in possession, have players who can hurt you but it should suit us and we are looking forward to what should be a high-quality encounter.
"Fulham are brave, they take risks and we know what we face. We are very similar and we are frustrated after Saturday but we have to move on quickly such are the demands of this league.
"The quick turnaround is good and it challenges the squad, on and off the field. You have to move on; there is no feeling sorry for yourself or hangover as you can't afford to. Games come thick and fast and you have to be prepared for each and every fixture."
Warburton added that he believes his side has the mental toughness to bounce back from the recent setbacks and to learn from their mistakes.
"We have no doubt about the character or the work ethic of the squad," he said. "They put pressure on themselves as a group of players and they want to win. We have to recognise the demands of this league and if you get the fine margins wrong, you will be punished and we have been punished in recent games.
"You need resilience as a squad. Performances have been good in parts; if you look at Sheffield Wednesday we were strong either side of half time and we are back in the game but another soft goal costs you dear. Against Wolves it was a good game of football, two teams going toe-to-toe but again a mistake costs you and you have to learn from it and move on.
"Talk is cheap; actions speak louder than words and we have to be better for the experience. It is a young squad, they are gelling and boys will make mistakes undoubtedly but this league is relentless and you can't sit back for too long."
