Barrie McKay felt that Nottingham Forest’s 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers was The Reds’ best performance of the season.
Tyler Walker's brace and strikes from Kieran Dowell and McKay secured the three points at The City Ground following a terrific display.
Speaking after the game, McKay said: "It was good and obviously it was important for us to bounce back after the poor result in midweek and we did that.
"I would say it is definitely up there as one of our best performances of the season. We had a sloppy opening 10 minutes or so but after that we controlled the game. If I was being over-critical we could have had more.
"We got on the ball, played with one or two touches and played forward whenever we could. Tyler got the goal and gave us and the fans a lift.
"The players that we have got, everybody is comfortable on the ball and that is the way the gaffer wants us to play. We showed that today and how easy it is to simplify football.
"Going forward we looked really dangerous today and we looked like we could score on nearly every occasion. Kieran and Ben were getting in really good positions and it helped with having Liam behind them."
