Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Warburton as the club’s first-team manager, replacing Gary Brazil.
The 54-year-old will be joined at the club by David Weir who takes on the role of assistant manager.
The pair have signed two-and-a-half-year contracts with The Reds and join after leaving Glasgow Rangers last month.
Warburton began his coaching career at Watford’s academy before being appointed first-team coach at Brentford in February 2011. He became manager at Griffin Park in December 2013 and led them to promotion to the Championship where he then achieved a fifth-place finish in the following season, losing in the play-offs.
He joined Glasgow Rangers in June 2015 and guided them to the Scottish Championship title as well as the Scottish Challenge Cup.
Warburton's first match in charge will be the East Midlands derby at The City Ground on Saturday and tickets for the game can be purchased in-person at the ticket office, online at tickets.nottinghamforest.co.uk
