Lotto players are helping the heartbeat of the Academy

28 March 2017

Forest Lotto is a great way for you to have a chance of winning huge cash prizes and, what’s more, you’ll be helping to raise funds for the club’s players for the future.

This is because all of the club’s proceeds from the Lotto go to the Nottingham Forest Academy.

Our mission is to identify, develop and support talented young footballers with the perfect platform for players to progress and achieve the highest level they can and eventually make the step into the first-team.

Since the emergence of the Nottingham Forest Academy, the likes of David Prutton, Marlon Harewood, Gareth Williams, James Perch, Chris Doig, Wes Morgan, Andy Reid, Michael Dawson, Felix Bastians, Lewis McGugan, Jermaine Jenas, and Jamaal Lascelles have made their way onto the first-team stage, and each entry in to a Forest Lotto draw can help to make a difference.

The money raised from the Forest Lotto over the past two years has helped to fund the academy’s pre-season tours of Portugal and has also provided travel for the Under 23s and Under 18s to their away league matches, allowing them to compete against teams across the country.

Academy manager Gary Brazil believes the work being put in across all age groups can help deliver a bright future for the club. “We are pleased with the progress we have made in the last 12 months. At the top end we are getting boys through and around the first-team which is what we are here to do and to achieve, and they have gone in and made a really good fist of it and have looked like they can handle first-team football which is really good.”

There is some really exciting talent coming through that has already impacted the first-team this season. Academy products Matty Cash, Jordan Smith, Joe Worrall, Ben Brereton, Anel Ahmedhodzic and James Thorne have all been involved in the Forest first-team during the current campaign.

Forest Lotto and the Nottingham Forest Academy are ensuring that the efforts to identify, develop and support talented young footballers continue to go from strength to strength. Every week more and more lotto winners are being made and the next one could be you!

This Wednesday’s Forest Lotto jackpot prize is a double rollover estimated at £4.3million.
