Cash signs new deal

3 March 2017

Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce that midfielder Matty Cash has signed a contract extension with the club.

The 19-year-old progressed through the academy system before making his senior debut at the beginning of the current campaign and has now put pen to paper on a deal which will see him stay at The City Ground until 2021.

A dynamic presence in the middle of the park, Cash was a stand-out performer for the Under 18s and Under 23s before he made a loan move to Dagenham and Redbridge in the second half of the 2015-16 season where he appeared 12 times and scored three goals.

Following his successful spell in Essex, Cash was then handed his Forest debut in the 4-3 victory over Burton Albion in the opening game of this season and since then he has made a total of 21 outings for The Reds.
