Brereton shortlisted for award

28 March 2017

Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton has been shortlisted for the LFE Sky Bet Championship Apprentice of the Year award at the 2017 EFL Awards.

The 17-year-old has broken through into the first team this season, and his work both on and off the pitch has been recognised for this season's award.

The Apprentice of the Year award recognises achievements on the pitch as well as academic achievements while players complete their scholarships, and Ben has been shortlisted alongside Sheffield Wednesday's George Hirst and Bristol City's Lloyd Kelly.

The winner of the divisional award will be announced at the EFL Awards held in London on Sunday 9 April.
