European Cup winning pair John Robertson and John McGovern surprised one lucky Forest fan after his season card purchase took sales past last season’s figures.
Chris May's season card, bought over the weekend, took the total past last year's number of 13,392 and the former Reds stars surprised him by meeting him at The City Ground and presenting him with a signed shirt.
Chris said: "It is fantastic and there is great support for the club again. To get this just for buying a season card is great. They are legends and to get their signatures on the new Forest top is great and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
"There is a buzz about the club at the minute. Everything seems a lot better and hopefully we can push on next season."
Season card sales are around the 14,500 mark with the price reduction period having also been extended by the club's board due to high demand, and Robertson believes things are looking up for Nottingham Forest.
Robertson said: "It is lucky for him but the fact that 14,000 other fans have bought season cards is a good sign for the club. The owners have started off brilliantly by reducing prices and it shows that they are thinking of the supporters.
"Everything is in place and Mark Warburton has come in after doing a fantastic job at Brentford and Rangers and he is well-equipped to lead Forest on."
