Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton says Jorge Grant will have the chance to show what he can do after the midfielder penned a new contract with the club.
Warburton believes that Grant, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Notts County, took his opportunity while at Meadow Lane and should use that experience to stake a claim in the first-team squad.
He said: "I am looking forward to working with him and watching how he takes his chance. He is a young player who has gone out on loan to develop and prove a point and he has done that.
"He has gone out, scored goals and impressed the loan club and comes back to his parent club to take the next step in his career.
"He wants to break into the squad, force his way into the plans and I am delighted with the way he adapted to that loan. He has gone out on loan for a reason and has responded well to it. Well done to him and now we are looking forward to working with him in pre-season."
