Jorge Grant is keen to make an impression during pre-season after putting pen to paper on a new three-year contract.
The midfielder signed a new contract to keep him at Nottingham Forest and he wants to impress Mark Warburton during the training camp in America and stake a claim for a starting spot.
He said: "I am absolutely buzzing; I just can't wait to get started now. It has been in the pipeline for a few weeks and I am delighted to get it over the line and I am ready for next season.
"The manager hasn't seen me play at all really so it will be nice for me to go into pre-season and impress in the first few weeks of training day in, day out so he can see what I'm like as a person and as a player.
"I am going to give it my all in pre-season and try and get in the starting eleven and impress the manager. Last season wasn't good enough from all of us and it needs to be a fresh start. The ambitions that the manager and the owners have going forward look really good so hopefully we can push on."
