Mark Warburton feels The City Ground can become a fortress next season after The Reds fans backed his side in numbers.
Season card sales have beaten last year's total, with more than 15,500 being sold within the first five weeks of sales.
Warburton believes the backing can make the difference and make it hard for teams to play against Forest on Trentside.
He said: "To get that level of support so quickly is fantastic and for the owners to give the deal for season cards and extending it, shows that they care about the supporter base and that they respond and want to see the club do well.
"It is great to see on both sides and hopefully we can keep pushing on from that. I want to see The City Ground to become, as the saying goes, like a fortress.
"It is a special place with the stands on top of the pitch and the atmosphere that can be created here. We want it to be a tough place for teams to come and we want to enjoy playing here.
"We enjoy a good playing surface, with good backing from the fans and we want to enjoy playing our football and send the fans home happy. That is our goal and our intention."
