Tendayi Darikwa enjoyed his first appearance in a red shirt as Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with his former side Burnley on Saturday.
The full back joined from the Premier League outfit during the week and was pleased to have his first run out at The City Ground.
He said: “I enjoyed it, I thought we put in a decent performance against a good team. They are a Premier League side so it was always going to be a good test. I am still getting to know my teammates so I am still finding my feet a bit at the minute but I thought we played well.
“At the start of the week I was training with Burnley so it was a bit strange to play against them but I am glad to get my first appearance for the club.
“I have only been here for a few days but the lads have welcomed me well. Everyone seems sharp and fit and hopefully we can start off with a good result against Millwall on Friday.”
