Nottingham Forest midfielder Aaron Tshibola said there was only one place he wanted to go after joining from Aston Villa on loan.
The 22-year-old signed until the end of the season earlier today and was delighted to make the move across the Midlands.
He said: “I had a few discussions with the manager at Villa and my focus was to come out on loan, play some football and continue my development. It wasn’t until late last week that my agent gave me a call and that the club were in discussions with Nottingham Forest about the move. I had a few offers but there was only one place in my mind after I found that out and I am delighted to be here now.
“For me right now development is key. I have come here to learn and play some games. It is not going to be easy and I want to help the club get up to where they should be in the league. It is a massive club and the rest will take care of itself.
“It wasn’t a surprise. There were two new additions to the squad, one from here in Henri, and I had discussions with the gaffer at Villa and we agreed that the best thing for me was to go out and continue my development.”
Tshibola says he is ready and raring to go and hopes to be involved against Rotherham United tomorrow night at The City Ground as he aims to help The Reds climb the Sky Bet Championship table.
He said: “I’m ready. If I’m picked I’m ready to go. I’ve gone into the dressing and I have seen a good bunch of lads with a good vibe in there.
“My ambitions are high, I don’t see why we can’t string a few wins together and get back nearer to the play-offs. We have some good payers here, the lads are great and the morale is good. Hopefully with a good few additions, and I am an ambitious person, I don’t see why not.
“I like to think I’m an all-round player. I like a tackle and playing on the ball, it is one of my strengths. I like to score goals and defend so I wouldn’t say I’m one type of midfielder, I like a bit of everything. Gary said to come in and enjoy it and have some fun.”
