Osborn shortlisted for Goal of the Month

10 February 2017

Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn’s goal against Bristol City has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award.

Osborn’s ingenious effort was the only goal of the match at The City Ground on 21 January and sealed a vital three points for The Reds.

Matty Cash laid the ball off for the midfielder who flicked it up and volleyed it perfectly over the wall and into the top corner for the 1-0 win and he is up against tough competition to claim the prize for January.

Souleymane Doukara’s volley for Leeds United against Forest at Elland Road on 25 January and Tom Lawrence’s solo effort for Ipswich Town against Preston on 28 January are the two other contenders for the award.
