Fan loyalty rewarded after record sales

29 August 2017

Nottingham Forest are delighted to confirm that 2017-18 season card sales have now passed the 17,000 mark. There has also been a substantial increase in match day attendances across all ticket categories and, as a result, the club are pleased to announce a September discounted ticket offer.

Club Chairman, Nicholas Randall QC, has made the following statement:

"I am delighted to announce that last week the club sold its 17,000th season card for the current campaign. We are, quite simply, overwhelmed by your support. When the club was taken over we were told that there was such negativity within the fan base that our ambitious plans to rebuild the club would fail. We knew that you would prove those people wrong and we are delighted that you have done so with such an emphatic sign of your support.

"I have spoken with Mark Warburton and his team. They have confirmed that your support this season, both home and away, has provided inspiration to them all. They are a developing team adapting to a new style of play and when they have needed your support you have responded magnificently and made an incredible contribution to our promising start to the season.

"It is, of course, not just season card sales. We have now had three home fixtures in the league which have seen an additional increase in attendances of 18,000 at The City Ground by comparison with the first three home fixtures of last season. Again we are overwhelmed with your support.

"The Board and management are keenly aware of the importance of trying to keep ticket prices affordable. We know that many of you cannot afford a season card or are unable to attend all home games because of work and family commitments. Accordingly, we have reduced the ticket prices for the three home league fixtures in September to ensure that an allocation will be available at £20 per match. We hope this goes some way to helping you all to continue to provide your wonderful support to Mark and his team as they continue their work to rebuild our reputation on the pitch.

"On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank you once again for your incredible support."
