Nottingham Forest defender Danny Fox felt The Reds could have taken all three points from Deepdale in the 1-1 draw with Preston on Saturday.
Forest put in a great display and played the game on the front foot and could have won the match but had to settle for a point.
Fox said: “We carried on from the Derby game, especially in the first half when we were very good on the ball and won the ball back in good areas and we showed that again today.
“The manager is getting us to keep the ball and if we have it we have more chance of scoring and winning the game and we are a bit disappointed to only come away with a point. The gaffer said after that they have the best home record in the league so to be disappointed is a positive. We have got to go again on Tuesday and we have a big home game on the Saturday.
“We are disappointed with the outcome in only taking away a point but it is a positive. With two games under the new staff we are undefeated but if you look at the balance of both games we should have had six points.”
Fox said that the players are enjoying playing their football and he feels that by playing with a smile on their faces it can produce the best results.
He said: “We are looking forward to the games and we are enjoying it and when you are enjoying it that is when you play your best.
“It is about being confident when we go out on the Saturday. We have shown that we have the attitude and character to get results and, especially being in the position we are in, we have shown we are brave on the ball. It takes big characters to do that and we have done well but we are not there yet.”
