Nottingham Forest forward Nicolao Dumitru says he cannot wait to represent the club after his season-long loan move from Napoli.
The 24-year-old arrives safe in the knowledge that he has big boots to fill in the shape of Oliver Burke but is excited to take on the challenge ahead of this weekend's trip to Aston Villa in front of the TV cameras.
Speaking to Forest Player HD he said: "I had two or three offers from other clubs in the Championship but once I heard the name Nottingham Forest, I wanted to get the deal done. It's an historic club with plenty of potential.
"All my first impressions of the club have been really good and the players and staff have helped me settle in well. On my first day I had a tour of The City Ground and it looks like a superb stadium which I can't wait to play in.
"I've seen some videos of Oliver Burke and I know he'll be a tough act to follow. I'm hopeful though that I can be as good as he was for Nottingham Forest and that I can show the supporters what I can do."
"I was probably one of the most-talented players of my generation when I was younger but I've made a few mistakes in my career. I've learnt from those now and I'm looking forward to getting started at Forest.
"I know I have no right just to walk into the team. The standard in training has been really high and I'll have to work really hard to get a place in the side. I'm not fit enough to play a full 90 minutes on Sunday but I hope to play some part in the game.
"To play away at Aston Villa, a former Premier League club, in my first game would be fantastic. When I looked at the fixture list I was really excited to see we had them up next and I can't wait to get going now."
