Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga has spoken of his happiness after signing a new five-year contract with the club.
The 23-year-old has committed his future to The Reds and told nottinghamforest.co.uk he was pleased to get everything sorted so he can concentrate his game.
He said: "I’ve always had a good relationship with the chairman and I’m delighted to have signed a new deal with Forest.
"There has been a lot of gossip and rumours about certain clubs being interested in me, which is always flattering, however I have always wanted to stay with Forest. The fans have always shown me a lot of love, which made this decision easy for me.
"The chairman and head coach have been very good with me and all my energy will now go into repaying the faith they have shown in me with this new deal.
"I’ve never been one to get involved in the politics, I’m just happy to finally get everything sorted. Now I can focus on playing football and scoring goals for Forest."
