Under 18s: Forest 4-0 Leeds

31 October 2016

Nottingham Forest Under 18s beat Leeds United 4-0 at The Nigel Doughty Academy this afternoon to keep up their strong recent run of form.

Goals from Jake Willetts and Will Swan added to penalties from Kyle McClean and Yassine En-Neyah to ensure Forest got their third straight victory and second consecutive clean sheet.

Head coach Gareth Holmes was delighted by the result and says his side are now beginning to show signs of real consistency following a mixed start to the campaign.

He said: "It was a really pleasing performance and were happy to get another victory and clean sheet. What is most pleasing is that the boys are implementing what they have learnt on the training ground during the week.

"I have to give great credit to the boys because they're showing a great desire to learn and improve all the time. We were energetic both with and without the ball and we were much more consistent in our decision-making.

"The lads are working really well both as individuals and as a team and to keep two clean sheets and score seven goals in the past two games is really impressive."
