Under 18s: Forest 3-0 Bristol City

22 October 2016

Nottingham Forest Under 18s claimed their fifth win in six matches this afternoon as they beat Bristol City 3-0 at the Nigel Doughty Academy.

The Reds secured victory thanks to goals from captain Joe Re, Virgil Gomis and Yassine En-Neyah as they continued their strong recent form with an excellent win over The Robins.

Head coach Gareth Holmes was pleased by his side's display at both ends of the field and said: "We're delighted by both the result and the performance. We did some excellent technical stuff with the ball which was good to see.

"After conceding five goals at Crystal Palace last weekend we asked the players to keep things tight. To keep a clean sheet is really pleasing and it is hopefully a result that we can build on next weekend."

Holmes's side will hope to carry on their good form when they entertain Leeds United next Saturday (29 October, kick-off 11am).

Forest: J.Wright, Willetts, Re (c), Smith, Stewart, Harbottle, En-Neyah, McClean, Gomis (Darby 56'), Taylor (Asare 79'), McCormick (Mighten 69')
