Vacancy: Marketing Assistant

The deadline for applications for the Marketing Assistant vacancy at Nottingham Forest is at 5pm on Tuesday evening.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely alongside the Marketing and PR Executive and Assistant, the Marketing Assistant will provide a full and professional pro-active administrative role in support of the marketing team.

Responsibilities include:

1. To update and maintain the club’s internal photo library

2. Acting as point of contact, collate and be responsible for all materials for use on the club’s big screens on matchday and act as floor manager during all first-team home games

3. Assist with the development, production and delivery of marketing plans, campaigns and materials

4. Undertake specific research projects assigned by the Marketing Manager and/or PR & Marketing Executive

5. Help to accurately maintain the club’s database of supporters

6. Support in the maintenance and updating of marketing messages on the club’s official website and ticketing page

7. Be willing to contribute to other team activities as requested

8. To always promote the club in a positive light through maintaining a very high standard of brand awareness

9. Gain a working knowledge of the CRM system and be able to process transactions and manage requests where appropriate

10. Respond to telephone queries relating to marketing and associated matters, collating and distributing information to other team members where appropriate

11. Assist with the planning of presentation evenings and subsequent ground visits

12. Research and report on external opportunities

13. Be available to discuss queries relating to marketing initiatives of Nottingham Forest and associated matters with the general public

14. Undertake any other reasonable duties within the department or associated, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post

15. Be available to work every Nottingham Forest home matchday and a number of other Nottingham Forest based events

16. Where appropriate, be available to offer photography support to marketing, retail and associated needs

17. Continually focus on improving and developing personal IT skills with the objective of streamlining business processes

18. To carry out any ad-hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A relevant further education qualification, eg. a marketing degree
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (CS6 or CC)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail
- An ability to liaise professionally with high-profile club figures and senior management
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- A high work rate and willingness to commit to unsociable hours
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Copywriting skills for print and online materials
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with a willingness to deliver hands-on help as part of a team
- Demonstrable initiative and enthusiasm, and the ability to successfully multi-task
- Ability to interpret numeric data and demonstrate investigative research and analytical skills
