Nottingham Forest Under 23s picked up a good point as they drew 0-0 at table-topping Hull City.
The young Forest side followed up Monday night's 2-1 win at Bolton with a solid defensive display to ensure that they came back from the KCOM Stadium with a point in the Professional Development League.
Hull started the stronger of the two teams, creating a few openings but being shut out by a resolute Forest defence. As the first half went on, The Reds came into the match and could have taken the lead as Virgil Gomis found space in the box but could only drag his shot wide on the half hour.
It was 0-0 at the break and the home side could not find a way past Tim Erlandsson in the Forest goal as the Swedish Under 21 international was commanding in his area.
Ben Brereton nearly snatched a victory with two minutes to go as he was only inches away from diverting a Danny Preston cross into the back of the net, but both sides had to settle for a point in an entertaining match.
