Nottingham Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi has provided an update on several club issues.
The full interview, in which Al Hasawi addresses the club’s managerial situation and discusses his stance on attracting investment, is free to view on the club’s YouTube channel now.
Fawaz on his search for a new manager: “I don’t want to rush on that – I would like to take my time because this is a very sensitive position.
“We still have time. I could appoint any manager right now but I don’t think that’s going to be helpful. The most important thing is to choose the right manager.
“At the moment there is no rush. We have to wait.”
Fawaz on his search for a chief executive: “We have some names and we want to pick the right one for next season.
“The chief executive is going to look after the club because I might not be here 24 hours a day. You need somebody to speak with sponsors, the FA and other clubs – somebody to work on your behalf, be professional and have the knowledge.
“We need somebody with a good CV who has worked in this role before.”
Fawaz on potential investment: “I will not put my club to just anybody. I want to do due diligence on who is going to invest and which people I am going to work with.
“You need helpful people with you – people who care about the club how we care about it. This is very important.”
