Under 18s: Bristol City 1-2 Forest

19 March 2016

A first-half brace from Virgil Gomis was enough to earn Nottingham Forest an impressive 2-1 victory at Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.

Gomis struck with a low finish to put Forest ahead after only 12 minutes and he doubled the advantage just before the half-hour mark by latching onto a long ball and sending it into the bottom corner.

City substitute Kel Akpobire halved the deficit on 72 minutes but the home side were unable to find an equaliser as The Reds recorded their sixth straight league success.

Forest are next in action when they entertain Sheffield Wednesday at the Nigel Doughty Academy next Saturday (26 March, kick-off 12pm).

Forest: Erlandsson, Diallo, Preston, Willetts, Iacovitti, Smith, McCormick (Charlesworth 70'), Taylor, Gomis (Swan 88'), Re, Lea
