Dexter Blackstock’s home shirt sponsors Air-IT, an award-winning managed IT and communications provider, have donated £600 to Nottingham Forest’s charity partner Age UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire.
At the beginning of the 2015-16 season, Air-IT’s
marketing director Paul Judge pledged £100 for each goal Blackstock scored over the course of the campaign.
And, with the striker finishing on four, Judge kindly rounded the donation up to £500 in recognition of Blackstock’s two goals in pre-season.
Paul was then able to raffle off Dexter's signed 2015-16 home shirt for another £100 and the lucky winner was ardent Forest supporter Oliver Whaley from East Bridgford (pictured below).
He said: “We’re passionate Forest fans here at Air-IT
so we’re delighted to support the club and to help raise further funds for their chosen charity Age UK, who do some fantastic work locally.
"It was an honour to meet some of players at the Sponsors' Lunch and to present Dexter with the cheque.
"We were hoping he’d play more this season and score a few more. However, we were delighted to add to the total by auctioning off his match-worn shirt and were pleased that it went to good home and a big Dexter fan.”
Forest’s Player Sponsorship package entitles companies to various advertising opportunities, the sponsored player’s match-worn shirt and the chance to experience Robin Hood Suite hospitality. The highlight of the package is the Player Sponsors’ Lunch, where sponsors meet the whole first-team squad.
