Nottingham Forest fan Sam Haycock visited the Nigel Doughty Academy this morning to watch first-team training.
Sam, 12, met Philippe Montanier and a number of players after receiving a tour of the training ground. His dad, Stu, told Forest Player HD: “Sam has a liver disease and is waiting for a transplant at the moment, so it’s a nice opportunity to put a smile on his face. It’s been a great experience.”
Sam, who is confident of a successful season for The Reds, said: “With the players we’ve got I think we stand a good chance of fighting for the play-offs – and it could be automatic promotion, you never know.”
The club wish Sam and his family all the best in their search for a donor.
