Forest beat Millwall in latest friendly

12 July 2016

Goals from Dexter Blackstock and Oliver Burke gave Nottingham Forest a 2-1 win over Millwall in a pre-season friendly this afternoon.

Forest boss Philippe Montanier started the match with a youthful side which included Adam Crookes, Joe Worrall, Ryan Yates, Jorge Grant, Tyler Walker and Oliver Burke and saw his team take the lead on 18 minutes courtesy of Blackstock.

Millwall soon levelled through young striker Jamie Philpot but Burke restored The Reds' lead four minutes after half-time, a goal that was eventually the difference between the two sides.

A host of changes were made with 30 minutes to play as new signings Thomas Lam and Apostolos Vellios were among the players to get half an hour of match time under their belts.

The Reds are next in action in a friendly against SC Braga on Friday night (kick-off 6.30pm). Click here for a full list of pre-season fixtures.
