Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman heaped praise on his players after they executed his game plan to win 1-0 at Middlesbrough this afternoon.
Jamie Ward’s second-half strike was the difference as Forest sunk the league-leaders at the Riverside.
And Reds manager Freedman was understandably thrilled with the performance.
He said: “We didn’t sit here and park the bus. We attacked just as well as they did and defended better than they did.
“If we’re talking about chances and defending resolutely, we came out on top in every department. It was a very well-executed game plan by a group of players who are a pleasure to work with.
“This is a very difficult place to come so we’ve got to enjoy this win because we deserved it.
“The players are starting to have a togetherness that’s unbreakable no matter what happens.”
The transfer window may be coming to an end but Freedman is in no rush to add to his ranks.
He said: “I’m happy with what I’ve got as long as I’ve got honesty, hard work and that people show commitment to the wonderful supporters who were here today.
“We’ve got a committed team – where that takes us I’m not too sure yet.”
