A frustrated dressing room

28 February 2016

Nottingham Forest full back Eric Lichaj said frustration was the players’ main feeling after yesterday’s defeat against Bristol City.

The Reds surrendered a lead to lose 2-1 to Lee Johnson’s side and Lichaj found it a tough result to take.

The American said: “It’s a difficult one to swallow. In the first half we were the better team by far and in the second half we let it slip away.

“All the lads are really frustrated, I’m frustrated. It was down to the players on the pitch, it was down to me, and it just wasn’t good enough.

“When we were on top of the game we didn’t take our chances and it shows you’ve got to do that in this league because if you don’t, you’re losing games.”

Lichaj knows the onus is on the players to work hard to turn around recent results.

He said: “We were on a really good run and now we’re in a tight spot. It’s difficult but we need to turn this around.

“We have a big training week ahead of us. We maybe just need to work a little harder on our shooting or crossing, or little bits in the gym – just refocus ourselves, that’s what I’ll be doing at least.

“Hopefully we can turn it around next week.”
