Nottingham Forest defender Thomas Lam says it was an unbelievable feeling to score the winner in yesterday's 4-3 victory over Wigan Athletic.
Lam found space inside the Latics' penalty area to smash home a 93rd-minute winner at The City Ground and the Finnish international says it was an unforgettable moment in front of a delirious Trent End.
He said: "I saw Hildeberto running towards goal, I asked Chrissy Cohen if I could go up there and he didn't answer so I just ran to the box! Luckily the ball just fell to my feet and I put it into the net. It was an incredible moment.
"They're massive points for us today and we can take a lot of confidence from the victory. The next target is to improve in defence and get a clean sheet but that will come as we play more together."
Forest were involved in their second consecutive 4-3 victory at The City Ground and Lam says it was an enjoyable game to be a part of but recognised The Reds still have shortcomings to work on at the back.
He said: "It was a crazy game. We obviously conceded three goals which isn't good so we need to talk about that and make sure it doesn't happen again. We created a lot of chances but made it difficult for ourselves.
"We have to improve defensively because the goals we conceded are still too easy. It takes time but have to continue working hard in training, preparing for each game and making sure we get better in defence."
