Nottingham Forest’s Under 21s were beaten 3-1 by Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Monday night.
Jorge Grant found the back of the net for Forest with a well-placed free-kick but it wasn’t enough to prevent Jamie Fullarton’s men from defeat in the West Country.
The home side went in front just after the half-hour mark thanks to Wes Burns’ acrobatic finish but The Reds soon restored parity through Grant’s curling set-piece.
City went on to claim victory thanks to second-half goals from Bobby Reid and Callum Robinson.
They will be aiming to bounce back next Tuesday (29 September) when they take on Watford at The City Ground (kick-off 2pm).
