Under 21s beaten in the capital

5 September 2015

Nottingham Forest’s Under 21s suffered a 3-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Friday night.

Jamie Fullarton’s side made the journey to West London on the back of a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town last weekend but could not repeat the feat at the home of the Rs.

The home side took the lead with ten minutes on the clock as good work from former Forest man Jake Mulraney led to Tyler Blackwood slotting home.

Forest had opportunities to equalise and did so five minutes before half-time as Oliver Burke restored parity with a long-range strike.

But it was to be Rangers who sealed victory in the second half as a penalty from Mulraney was followed up by a well-taken finish from Andreas Komodikis to give the home side all three points.

The Reds will hope to bounce back when they face Cardiff City next Monday (14 September) in a 2pm kick-off at The City Ground.
