A stunning first-half display from Nottingham Forest’s Under 18s helped them to a 5-0 victory over Watford at the Nigel Doughty Academy on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds were two goals ahead inside the opening seven minutes thanks to an early brace from Liam Adams as they looked to respond to last weekend’s defeat at Charlton.
Ben Brereton netted goals either side of the half-hour mark to put Jack Lester’s side into a commanding 4-0 lead before Virgil Gomis rounded off the scoring a minute before half-time.
The victory was Forest’s fourth of the campaign and sets them up perfectly for Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace (kick-off 11.30am).
