A sensational last-gasp winner from Virgil Gomis handed Nottingham Forest's Under 18s a dramatic 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Goals from Ben Brereton, Tom Gamblen and Gomis gave Forest all three points after the visitors had earlier been reduced to ten men.
The home side took the lead through Brereton’s early header before Ipswich levelled the scored through Charlie Brown’s low finish.
Luke Wolfenden’s red card gave Forest hope and they were soon back in front as Gamblen netted with a superb curling effort.
The visitors restored parity with from the penalty spot with 13 minutes to play but they were soon down to nine men when Kieron Cathline saw red for hacking down Wright.
Just as the match looked as if it would be heading to a frustrating draw, Gomis attempted an audaciously spectacular effort and it remarkably came off to earn Lester's men the three points.
The Under 18s are next in action when they travel to Charlton on Saturday 12 September (11am kick-off).
