Do you know someone who stands on the touchline come rain or shine encouraging their local football team, or has spent years driving the team coach or making the tea?If so, they could be one of the unsung football heroes the Nottingham Building Society (known as The Nottingham) is looking to reward.
From today (Friday 11 September) The Nottingham is launching an exciting football campaign to find ten unsung football heroes at grassroots level and recognise and reward them for their commitment and hard work.
Throughout the 2015-16 football season the Society is searching for ten dedicated backroom stars who have gone that extra mile to help their local football team.
As well as recognition for their hard work, the winners will receive some amazing prizes including:
- Use of the Nottingham Forest Football Club executive box for the winner plus three friends at a Nottingham Forest home game, including champagne and canapés on arrival
-A football signed by the Nottingham Forest first team squad
- Invitation to a special end of season event
Vicky Hall, Sponsorship and Events Manager at The Nottingham, said: “Through our sponsorship of local football we know there are many dedicated people who give up hours of their own time to support their local team. They really are the unsung heroes and we want to put them in the spotlight for a change.
“For the last ten years we have worked closely with Nottingham Forest, supporting the club through our Nottingham Forest Saver account with annual financial contributions going to the academy. It is because of this relationship with them that we are able to offer such special prizes for this campaign.”
If you know someone, over the age of 18, who deserves recognition for their commitment to their local football team be sure to nominate them at www.thenottingham.com/unsung-football-heroes where you will find the terms and conditions for entry.
Ten winners will be selected throughout the football season, with the first name being picked on 30 September.
The final closing date for nominations is 16 March 2016, but the sooner nominations are received the better.
