Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dorus de Vries has been hailed with two awards after an impressive opening month of the campaign.
The Dutchman has been named the winner of August’s The Bed Chambers Player and Dream Moment of the Month awards.
De Vries capped a consistent month with a number of impressive saves, most notably a point-blank reaction stop to deny Charlton’s Patrick Bauer at The City Ground.
It was that save that won him the Dream Moment accolade, as voted for by Danielle Conroy, while Scott Wheeler was randomly selected from those who voted for de Vries as Player of the Month.
De Vries claimed 53% of the voting, beating David Vaughan (18%) and Tyler Walker (17%) to the accolade.
Scott wins a £100 Bed Chambers voucher and the chance to present the goalkeeper with his award at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
Danielle wins a £50 Bed Chambers voucher and a football signed by Forest’s first team.
Information on how to vote for September’s Player and Dream Moment of the Month awards, sponsored by the award-winning The Bed Chambers, will be announced on nottinghamforest.co.uk in due course.
