The Nottingham Forest Academy received a boost of over £200,000 this week from the Nottingham Building Society.
Each year The Nottingham gives the equivalent of 1% of account balances from the Nottingham Forest Saver account, which is supported by Forest fans.
The money raised, this year a total of £216,382 for the 2014-15 season, goes straight to the Nottingham Forest Academy.
Gary Womersley, Head of Branch Network at The Nottingham, presented the cheque to John McGovern and academy graduate Oliver Burke, with the building society sponsoring Burke for the current season.
Gary explained: “It’s fantastic how so many Nottingham Forest fans support the next generation of players through the Nottingham Forest Saver Account. The academy is producing some excellent first-team players and The Nottingham is proud to play a part in this.”
